Nel
futuro, speciali sistemi di intelligenza artificiale chiamati "Cyber
Systems" vengono utilizzati nelle corse automobilistiche per aiutare i
piloti a migliorare le proprie performance riducendo il rischio di
incidenti. Uno di questi sistemi, chiamato "Asurada", è una intelligenza
artificiale super potente sviluppata dalla Sugo Corporation, è
ardentemente desiderato da Smith, che lo vuole utilizzare per fini
militare. Dato che il sistema è progettato per le corse, la Sugo ha
inserito il sistema Asurada in un'automobile chiamata GSX, ma durante la
consegna, l'automobile è attaccata dagli uomini di Smith.
