Morton è il padrone della ferrovia. E sa benissimo che dove c'è l'acqua, in mezzo al deserto del West, ci sarà una grande stazione, poi una grande città. L'acqua c'è nella terra dei McBain, così Morton manda il killer Frank a convincere il legittimo proprietario a vendere. Il risultato è una strage. Solo la signora McBain si salva, e incrocia un pistolero, Armonica, che ha più di un conto in sospeso con Frank.
