La vera storia di come Walt Disney convinse l'autrice P.L. Travers a cedere i diritti per la realizzazione di un film tratto dal suo romanzo Mary Poppins. Ma diventa sempre piÙ inamovibile quando capisce che Disney, che ha intrapreso il progetto per far contente le figlie, ha intenzione di trasformare il film in un musical con parti animate.
