Tre fratelli americani, che non si sono parlati per un anno, organizzano un viaggio in treno attraverso l’India alla ricerca di se stessi e per rinsaldare il legame tra loro nella speranza di tornare a essere fratelli come nel passato. All’improvviso, però, la loro “ricerca spirituale” prende una piega diversa e incontrollabile (a causa tra l’altro di antidolorifici, sciroppi indiani contro la tosse e spray al pepe). Si ritrovano così nel bel mezzo di un deserto con undici valigie, una stampante e una macchina. Inizia per loro un nuovo e inatteso viaggio.
