Wall Street 2: Sono passati 23 anni dai fatti raccontati nel primo film e lo squalo di Wall Street Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) ha terminato di scontare la sua pena detentiva. Ormai ai margini della comunità finanziaria tenta comunque di mettere in guardia Wall Street dall'arrivo della grande crisi, ma sembra che nessuno voglia ascoltarlo. Gekko tenta allora di riallacciare i legami con sua figlia la quale è legata sentimentalmente a Jacob Moore (Shia Labeouf), giovane professionista di Wall Street deciso a diventarne uno dei grandi protagonisti.
