Mentre una missione americana in Vietnam cerca la verità sui "dispersi in azione", il colonnello Braddock ottiene la confessione di un generale vietnamita su un campo segreto di prigionia. Costretto a nascondersi temporaneamente a Saigon, Braddock riuscirà poi, con un'azione arditissima, a salvare alcuni prigionieri e a sbugiardare le dichiarazioni dei vietnamiti che ne negavano l'esistenza.
