Walt Disney interpreta la saga celtica di Artù e ci racconta il rapporto
fra il Mago Merlino e il piccolo Artù, detto Semola, sguattero presso
il castello di un Lord inglese, ma di sangue reale e predestinato a
regnare su tutta l'Inghilterra. Per imparare le virtù necessarie alla
sua futura missione, Artù viene trasformato da Merlino prima in un
pesce, poi in uno scoiattolo e infine in un passero. Ma ci si mette di
mezzo la perfida Maga Magò. Ci penseranno l'astuzia e il sapere del buon
Merlino a sconfiggere la perfida Magò: Artù potrà estrarre la magica
spada dalla roccia, diventando così Re d'Inghilterra.
