Gli spietati, un film diretto e interpretato da Clint Eastwood. Siamo nel 1880, nella cittadina di Big Whisky, nel Wyoming, governata dallo sceriffo Little Bill (Gene Hackman), la vita scorre tranquilla. Una prostituta, Delilah, viene sfregiata sul viso da un cowboy giunto al bordello con un amico. I due vengono trattenuti fino all'arrivo dello sceriffo che impone loro di risarcire il proprietario della "casa di piacere" con sette cavalli. Le amiche che lavoravano con Delilah non ci stanno: insoddisfatte della offensiva punizione data, per vendicare la collega, mettono insieme mille dollari di taglia sulla testa dei responsabili.
