Monaco 1943. Un gruppo di giovani fonda la Rosa Bianca, un movimento di resistenza pacifica volto a far cadere il Terzo Reich. L'unica donna del gruppo è Sophie Scholl che viene arrestata, insieme con suo fratello Hans, mentre distribuiscono volantini all'università. Nei giorni successivi viene interrogata dall'ufficiale della Gestapo Robert Mohr che rimane colpito dal singolare coraggio della ragazza.
