Quando la missione è approdata sul pianeta rosso il comandante Luke Graham si accorge che qualche cosa di minaccioso si sta avvicinando a loro. Gli astrononauti fanno a tempo a mandare un messaggio e poi scompaiono nel nulla. La stazione spaziale mondiale allestisce in fretta una missione di salvataggio.
