Thor: Love and Thunder, il film diretto e scritto da Taika Waititi, segue Thor (Chris Hemsworth) in un viaggio diverso da quelli affrontati fino ad ora, alla ricerca della pace interiore. Ma il suo riposo è interrotto da un killer galattico conosciuto come Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), intenzionato a uccidere tutti gli dei fino alla loro estinzione. Per combattere la minaccia, Thor si affida all'aiuto di Valchiria (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) e dell'ex fidanzata Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) che, con stupore del dio, brandisce inspiegabilmente il suo martello magico, Mjolnir, come Mighty Thor. Insieme, il gruppo intraprende una sconvolgente avventura cosmica per scoprire il mistero della vendetta di Gorr, il macellatore di dei, e fermarlo prima che sia troppo tardi.
