Status Quo sono una rock band inglese che suona il boogie rock.Il gruppo nacque in The Specters, fondato dagli scolari Francis Rossi e Alan Lancaster nel 1962. Dopo diversi cambi di formazione, tra cui l'introduzione di Rick Parfitt nel 1967, la band divenne The Status Quo nel 1967 e Status Quo nel 1969.
Hanno avuto oltre 60 successi nel Regno Unito, più di qualsiasi altra rock band, tra cui "Pictures of Matchstick Men" nel 1968, "Whatever You Want" nel 1979 e "In the Army Now" nel 1986 e nel 2010. Ventiduedi questi ha raggiunto la Top 10 nella UK Singles Chart.Nel luglio 1985 la band ha aperto Live Aid allo stadio di Wembley con "Rockin 'All Over the World".Nel 1991, Status Quo ha ricevuto un Brit Award per l'eccezionale contributo alla musica.
