Municipal Waste è una thrash band crossover di Richmond, Virginia, formata nel 2001. Ad oggi, la band ha pubblicato sei album in studio, tre EP e quattro split. Hanno subito diversi cambi di line-up, lasciando il cantante Tony Foresta e il chitarrista Ryan Waste come gli unici membri costanti. Oltre a Foresta e Waste, la loro attuale formazione comprende Nick "Nikropolis" Poulos alla chitarra, Philip "Landphil" Hall al basso e Dave Witte alla batteria.
