Travis è una band alternativa rock britannica post-Britpop formata a Glasgow, in Scozia, nel 1990, composta da Fran Healy (voce solista, chitarra ritmica), Dougie Payne (chitarra basso, voce secondaria), Andy Dunlop (chitarra solista, banjo, voce di accompagnamento ) e Neil Primrose (batteria, percussioni).

La band ha pubblicato 7 album in studio: Good Feeling (1997), The Man Who (1999), The Invisible Band (2001), 12 Memories (2003), The Boy With No Name (2007), Ode To J. Smith (2008 ) e Where You Stand (2013).

Travis è stato premiato due volte come miglior band ai BRIT Awards e spesso è stato accreditato per aver spianato la strada a band come Coldplay e Keane (Chris Martin dei Coldplay si è definito "un povero Fran Healy", dicendo che Travis "ha inventato" Coldplay "e molti altri". La band prende il nome dal personaggio di Harry Dean Stanton Travis Henderson del film Paris, Texas.
