Tre individui, tra i quali lo psicopatico e pericolosissimo Alan, ricattano un industriale la cui moglie vuole mettersi a tutti i costi in politica: filmano i suoi incontri con una bella ragazza, loro complice, e poi lo fanno assistere all'omicidio della stessa, compiuto con la sua pistola. L'uomo però, mantenendo un'incredibile calma e freddezza, non cede alla trappola dei malviventi. Nemmeno quando la moglie viene violentata e rapita. Ha un suo piano per salvarsi: riesce ad aizzare, con astuzia, i tre mettendoli l'uno contro l'altro e infine tende una trappola, beffarda e micidiale, al superstite Alan.
