I Lightning Seeds sono un gruppo rock alternativo inglese di Liverpool, in Inghilterra, formato nel 1989 da Ian Broudie (voce, chitarra, produttore), già della band Big in Japan. Originariamente un progetto solista basato su studio per Broudie, i Lightning Seeds si espansero in una band itinerante dopo Jollification (1994). Il gruppo ha avuto successo commerciale negli anni '90 e sono noti per il loro singolo "Three Lions", una collaborazione con David Baddiel e Frank Skinner che ha raggiunto il numero 1 nel Regno Unito nel 1996 e nel 1998. È rientrato nella classifica ufficiale del Regno Unito nel 2018, di nuovo al picco al numero 1.
